Sustainability in Practice: CHH’s 2025 Report and Strategic Partnership with Wylde

CHH, a leading UK provider of smart infrastructure and lifecycle solutions, has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the significant progress it has made on its sustainability journey. Through its partnership with Wylde Connections, CHH has shifted from early awareness to practical, measurable action, embedding sustainability into strategy, culture and service delivery. The report shows clear advances in carbon measurement, materiality, circularity and workforce engagement.

This publication reflects the strength of CHH’s long-standing collaboration with Wylde Connections. Since 2022, our team has provided the guidance, tools and expertise needed for CHH to integrate sustainability into every aspect of its operations. Through the Wylde Sustainability Strategy Programme, the leadership team gained a clear road map for progress, supported by diagnostics, stakeholder mapping and double materiality assessment.

The result is a professionally produced report that evidences measurable impact and communicates CHH’s achievements and ambitions with clarity. It shows how a collaborative, data-led approach can make sustainability a core driver of business value.

Laying the foundations

CHH has achieved sustained commercial growth in recent years, driven by innovation, customer service excellence and its capability to offer full turnkey solutions. As the business expanded, the leadership recognised that long term success required a responsible and well managed approach to environmental and social impacts. This recognition prompted CHH to partner with Wylde Connections in 2022 to develop a robust sustainability strategy, define priorities and actions, and establish systems that embed good practice throughout the organisation.

The 2025 report demonstrates tangible progress. A key achievement is the establishment of CHH’s baseline Greenhouse Gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, providing a solid foundation for tracking progress and designing an informed decarbonisation strategy that meets both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Beyond understanding its own footprint, CHH has evolved its services to help customers improve their ESG performance. As the report notes, CHH’s problem solving capabilities sit at the heart of its sustainability strategy, enabling the business to support clients in making responsible choices that reduce their environmental footprint while driving value.

Circularity is a central feature of this approach. CHH’s Life Cycle Solutions are designed to reduce waste and extend product lifespan by keeping materials within the value chain. Teams are applying circular economy principles across the smart connectivity portfolio, recovering and reusing smart meters, maintaining and retrofitting field cabinets and returning valuable components to the supply chain. This reduces environmental impact and supports customers in meeting their own sustainability goals.

Building on strong foundations

The journey to this point has been shaped by a deep partnership with Wylde’s expert team. Following a change in ownership and restructuring, the leadership recognised the need for sustainability to underpin the company’s growth strategy. Through the Wylde Sustainability Strategy Programme which included a full diagnostic, leadership values profiling, SWOT and PESTLE analyses, Value Chain and Stakeholder Mapping and a comprehensive Materiality Assessment CHH gained a clear understanding of its ESG priorities.

This process produced a detailed Action Plan and Road Map, which the business has been actively implementing. Since then, sustainability has been embedded into decision making and progress has been communicated through regular reporting and engagement.

Empowering people to lead change

People are central to CHH’s progress. A key milestone has been the appointment of long-serving team member Sarah Sherwood as Sustainability Lead. With more than 35 years at the company and now holding the ISEP Certificate in Environmental Management, supported by Wylde Connections, Sarah is well placed to drive transformation and embed sustainability into daily operations and long term planning.

Wylde has worked closely with Sarah and the leadership team to build capability and confidence, ensuring the business can sustain momentum. The next phase will involve organisation wide sustainability awareness training so every employee understands their role in achieving CHH’s environmental and social goals. Embedding this knowledge will help strengthen the company’s culture and reinforce shared accountability.

Looking ahead

CHH’s plans for the coming year are ambitious and grounded in robust evidence. Building on the established GHG baseline, the company will refine its data, set reduction targets and begin implementing its decarbonisation strategy. It will also expand its Life Cycle Solutions, with opportunities such as repurposing lithium batteries and recovering components from decommissioned smart devices.

On the social side, CHH will continue investing in its people through new reward and recognition programmes that highlight employees who embody the company’s values. Governance will be strengthened further by integrating ESG responsibilities into management roles and maintaining regular reporting.

Trusted partner

Wylde Connections will remain a key partner, providing strategic guidance, measurement support and leadership mentoring. Together, we will refine CHH’s sustainability strategy, strengthen supply chain engagement and ensure best practice is embedded across the organisation. Our shared goal is to keep driving improvement and innovation so CHH continues to lead within its sector.

Through this collaboration, CHH has shown that sustainability is both a commercial driver and a moral responsibility. It has built strong foundations, gathered robust data, empowered its people and embedded sustainability into the core of its business.
