2025 Round Up – Wylde Connections celebrates a year of key milestones
As 2025 draws to a close, we are reflecting on what has been a pivotal year for Wylde Connections. We have supported more businesses than ever to develop and demonstrate their sustainability credentials. We have launched new products and services, strengthened our delivery through innovation and collaboration, and secured scale up support that positions us to take our work to the next level.
One of the most significant milestones of the year has been the launch of Wylde’s ESG diagnostic tool Enveglas. We developed Enveglas in response to a clear and growing need among businesses for a practical and cost-effectiveway to understand their sustainability performance and respond to increasing customer and regulatory demands. It enables organisations to assess, track and improve their environmental, social and governance performance through a structured diagnostic process.
By gathering business-critical data through an intuitive survey interface, Enveglas helps businesses to establish their current position and identify gaps. The report produced helps to prioritise actions and demonstrate progress aligned with recognised frameworks including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, B Corp and EcoVadis.
The impact of Enveglas is clearly illustrated through our work with Trough Tec Systems (TTS), a UK-based manufacturer operating across the rail, road, energy and utilities sectors. As sustainability-driven procurement gathered pace, TTS recognised the need to clearly communicate the environmental and social value embedded in its products and operations.
The business found itself in a position where it was being asked to provide detailed evidence
about how it was embracing sustainability beyond product design. Working with Wylde and using Enveglas, the business was able to baseline its performance, develop a clear action plan and respond effectively to a high-value infrastructure tender.
As Kyle Butler, Operations Director at TTS, explains:
“We realised that we needed to take the initiative in terms of ESG. Increasingly, tenders were asking us to evidence our performance, be it emissions reduction or community engagement. TTS was doing a lot of great work, but we are a small team, and we weren’t always capturing or evidencing it. What we needed to understand was what we are doing well and what we could be doing better. Enveglas was the perfect tool.”
Embedding sustainable practice
Alongside robust diagnostics and reporting, we have continued to strengthen our learning provision. In 2025, we were proud to launch a new partnership with Stickerbook, an innovative digital learning platform designed to embed sustainability best practice through engaging, bite-sized content.
For many organisations, the true challenge is not just developing a sustainability strategy but embedding it across teams and translating commitments into day-to-day behaviours. Stickerbook addresses this challenge directly. Through short video modules, interactive quizzes and a digital sticker reward system, the platform builds ESG fluency, encourages participation and supports transformation across the workforce.
By integrating Stickerbook into Wylde’s training pathways, we can support clients to reinforce key messages, maintain momentum and embed sustainability into organisational culture. This collaboration has been particularly valuable for SMEs seeking learning solutions that genuinely drive engagement and improve understanding.
Driving decarbonisation and building sustainable supply chains
This year has also seen Wylde adopt a new, more robust platform for measuring greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), strengthening the support we provide to clients on their sustainability journeys. By working in partnership with CarbonAltDelete, we are able to enhance the accuracy, transparency and consistency of emissions calculations, supporting businesses to build credible baselines and track progress.
Accurate carbon accounting data is fundamental to effective sustainability strategy and increasingly critical for supply chain engagement. These tools enable our clients to respond confidently to customer requests, support Scope 3 reporting and contribute to the development of more sustainable, resilient supply chains. Combined with Enveglas and our consultancy support, this integrated approach helps businesses move beyond fragmented data collection towards meaningful insight and informed decision making.
Starting position
A consistent theme across our work in 2025 has been the importance of understanding your current position. Too often, businesses feel overwhelmed by sustainability because they lack clarity on their current position and the next practical step.
In response, we launched the Wylde 7-Step Sustainability Staircase, a clear and accessible framework that helps organisations identify their current level of maturity and chart a structured pathway forward. From pre-compliance through to differentiated leadership, the staircase recognises that progress happens step by step. It has already become an essential tool for clients looking to take their work to the next level, aligning diagnostics, strategy, implementation and review into a coherent journey.
Showcasing achievement
We are immensely proud of the progress our clients have made over the past year. Across sectors, organisations we support are moving from reactive compliance to embedded strategy, clearer governance and stronger impact measurement.
We encourage readers to explore the latest sustainability reports published on our website, which highlight the depth and breadth of this work. These reports provide tangible evidence of how businesses are reducing risks, strengthening resilience and creating positive outcomes for people and planet. Alongside this, our growing portfolio of case studies demonstrates how working with Wylde to embed sustainability can truly transform operations, culture and performance.
Social Impact
In 2025, we continued to support a small number of charities whose work aligns closely with our values and our belief that sustainability must deliver positive outcomes for people, communities, the environment and the natural world.
One of our long-standing partners is Chrysalis Uganda, a charity focused on education, skills development and entrepreneurship for young people in Uganda. Chrysalis works with young social entrepreneurs, equipping them with the knowledge and practical tools they need to create livelihoods, address local challenges and become agents of positive change within their communities. Wylde is proud to support Chrysalis in helping young people build resilient futures through enterprise and education.
We also continue to support the International Wildlife Coexistence Network (IWCN), which works globally to promote coexistence between people and wildlife. IWCN brings together researchers, practitioners, communities and organisations to address human wildlife conflict, restore ecosystems and support nature positive solutions that recognise the needs of both people and wildlife. The network plays a vital role in translating research into practical action and influencing policy and practice in biodiversity and conservation.
This year also saw the development of a new partnership between the two charities to maximise positive social and environmental impacts, connecting youth leadership with conservation, nature restoration and community-basedsolutions.
Supporting young people is a consistent thread across Wylde’s work. In 2025, we welcomed work experience students and interns and strengthened our links with universities. We are currently working with a group of students from the University of Birmingham on a value chain mapping project, giving them hands on experience of applying academic learning to real world sustainability challenges. This collaboration supports businesses to better understand their social and environmental impacts while helping to develop the next generation of sustainability professionals.
Extending our reach
Throughout 2025, Wylde has worked hard to expand our sphere of influence through events, conferences, exhibitions and webinars. From Department for Business and Trade events to the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce Sustainability Summit and the Advanced Manufacturing Conference, we have shared insight, challenged thinking and encouraged collaboration. Wylde is also proud to have joined Coventry University’s Applied Sustainability Forum (ASF).
Our MD Denise Taylor has been inundated with requests to share her expertise on national and international platforms. This year, she judged the Make UK Awards sustainability category and was appointed as a Visiting Industrial Fellow at Aston University, working with the Advanced Services Group to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application in sustainability and advanced services.
To the next level
A major milestone this year has been Wylde’s inclusion in the Innovate UK Scale Up Programme. This support provides a powerful platform for growth, enabling us to refine our proposition, strengthen our systems and scale our impact while staying true to our values and purpose.
Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be an exciting new chapter. We are looking forward to working with more stakeholders, expanding our reach, and continuing to innovate in how we support businesses to embed sustainability.
Our team is ready to embrace the opportunities ahead and we recently brought on board two new recruits. This year we very sadly lost Denise’s dog Lucy and she is much missed. However, eager colleagues Leonard and Albus are keeping us on our toes and will play a key role in helping us make the most of 2026.
As we close the year, we would like to thank all our clients, partners, and stakeholders for being part of our journey. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead.
